Early life
Emily Watson was born as Emily Margaret Watson to Richard and Katherine Watson on 14th January 1967 in London. Her mother taught English at a girls’ school while her father worked as an architect. She was raised as an Anglican.
She graduated from her high school from St James Independent Schools, after which she attended the University of Bristol. In 1988, she completed her bachelor’s in English from the University of Bristol. She also has an honorary Master of Arts degree from the same University. She had also trained at Drama Studio London. Until 1996, she was also a member of the School of Economic Sciences. She had also worked as a waitress in her early days.
