Marking the first step away from their epic ‘Flamboyant’ era, Dorian Electra is back with ‘Sorry Bro (I Love You)’.
“Sorry bro I’m thinking of you, I don’t wanna bug you, but sorry bro I love you”, the pop disruptor opens on the flick which hit streaming platforms at midnight on May 19th. Delivered with Electra’s trademark tongue-in-cheek lyricism and bubbling hyper pop production, ‘Sorry Bro (I Love You)’ sees the 27-year-old at their best.
An artist whose pushing of sonic boundaries is always met with concept-ready visuals, Electra releases the single with a classicly kitsch music video. Directed by Weston Allen, the front-garden iron-pumping affair sees Electra and ‘bros’ in full force.
Dorian Electra spent part of January at a writing camp alongside friends and curators, during which they penned fan-written track ‘Thirsty (For Love)’ on Instagram Live, amongst other new material. Mood Killer, of Liquify success, joins Electra as a co-writer on ‘Sorry Bro (I Love You)’ with production provided by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs and Charli XCX notoriety, as well as frequent collaborator Count Baldor.

Releasing their long-awaited debut album, Flamboyant, to critical acclaim last year, Dorian Electra went on to tour the world on the back of the record’s success. CelebMix caught the star’s sold-out Village Underground show last year. Further dates across the U.K. and U.S.A. as a final hurrah for Flamboyant had been planned too, although are now postponed given the global situation.
‘Sorry Bro (I Love You)’ is streaming now.
